Nacho Villa, BSc, MS, is a professional agronomist specializing in the development of therapeutic environments for the emotionally impaired.  Fluent in Spanish and English, he has had extensive experience establishing meaningful programs that enable adults with chronic mental illnesses to relate to the natural world in productive ways that enable self-actualization while enhancing the quality of daily life.

Nacho combines a scientitic understanding of organic farming practices, materials, and methods with an expertise in community development. 

As the director of greenhouse design and operations for Emerald Fields of Troy, his is responsible for developing greenhouse services in support of the therapeutic programming for residents.

His previous professional experience includes more than a decade with farm-based therapeutic programs.  His responsibilities have encompassed exterior site design and development, on-going supervision of work programming, and development of creative programming including Fiber Arts, Pottery, and General Arts and Crafts.
